WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN INTERIOR DESIGNER AND INTERIOR DECORATOR?
An interior designer understands the interior architecture and works closely with architects to design the interior space. An interior decorator is hands on with the furnishings of a space with beautiful or fashionable things. They consider the style inspiration, color scheme, the texture of the used accessories.
HOW MUCH DOES AN INTERIOR DESIGNER OR DECORATOR CHARGE?
La’Hugh Designs charges a flat fee based on the scope of work. You will know from start to finish exactly what your investment in design fees for your home. This is determined from assessing the time and resources to provide you with a beautiful end result. The fee will be outlined in your letter of agreement at the start of the project.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
At minimum, a project usually takes 3-6 months to complete from initial consultation down to the install day.
DO I HAVE TO MAKE PURCHASES THROUGH YOU IF I FIND THE ITEM FOR LESS THAT IS SPECIFIED IN THE DESIGN PLAN?
No, you do not. You can always make purchases on your own. However, clients do purchase from us because of the quality and discount we pass along. We are a service, and part of the magic we deliver is keeping the original intent intact throughout the process.
CAN YOU SHOP TOGETHER WITH YOUR INTERIOR DESIGNER OR DECORATOR?
